Are we there yet?

Me: lily's gonna come see you!

Celeste: yay! Is Lily here yet?

Me: nope.

Celeste: *5 seconds later* is Lily here yet?

Me: not yet.

Celeste: *5 seconds later* I'm gonna get my stool and look.

And there she stands. Lily is her best friend ever. It doesn't matter that they just saw eachother two days ago, or that we've seen lots of other people since then. It's Lily!

Celeste is always eager to share some of the information she's collected. When she's not asking "why" when she already knows the answer, that is. 

She's also decided that she's a fan of the push up popsicle. Her favorite are the purple ones, even though she doesn't know what flavor they are. 

Art and a Milk Moustache

Here's Celeste creating some art using some paints she got for her birthday. This one was for mama.

Afterward we had dinner and she insisted that I take a photo of her milk moustache. Of course she thinks she gets a milk moustache when she drinks through a straw too, so I'm not sure what she expected. She seemed pleased with the result though.

Mardi Gras Kid

Celeste and I attended a Mardi Gras party thrown by our friends Liz and Stefanie. Celeste had a great time eating delicious Cajun food, wearing lots of beads, playing with masks, and running around playing peek-a-boo with everyone.

This is only Celeste's second time to be on a Carousel. The first time, she enjoyed it but wasn't really impressed in the grand scheme of things. 6 months later, she loved it! She even cried a bit when it was time to go, which isn't something she does too often.

Ice Cream!

If I'd let her, Celeste would happily have Ice Cream with every meal. Her PaPa flew to Texas from Canada to visit her for a week. He took Celeste and Jess out for lunch last Saturday and invited me along to visit. Here she is at Tin Star enjoying her dessert. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="333" caption="ICE CREAM!"]
