A Hike at Lake Ray Roberts

Despite the very hot Texas Summer this year, staying in the house every day is not an option. So we try to get out of the house and on our feet a little bit every day. A few weeks ago (8/15/2009, yeah, I'm way behind on the photos). We took a trip to Lake Ray Roberts. When Celeste first saw the ground covered in Pine Needles she was intrigued. When she heard what they were called and decided that I actually said Pine NOODLES, she decided right then and there that the two would be companions for life. Can I get some light in here?

Just as Jess was about to put Celeste to bed last night and our friends and their 18 month old were getting ready to head home the power in our neighborhood went out. Apparently someone hit a power pole going quite fast less than a quarter mile from us. Celeste didn't seem to mind though. Armed with her own headlamp , she was ready for whatever the night would bring, including the impromptu party held around the fire ring in the neighbor's driveway.
